The Vadinense Way is a connecting Jacobean route of approximately 150 kilometers that links the town of San Vicente de la Barquera (Cantabria) with the Leonese municipality of Mansilla de las Mulas. Its main geographical characteristic is that it acts as a high-mountain link between the Northern Way and the French Way, allowing pilgrims to visit the Monastery of Santo Toribio de Li\u00e9bana. <\/p>\n\n

The signage of this Jacobean route is peculiar, as it overlaps the traditional yellow arrows pointing toward Santiago with the blue arrows that guide pilgrims in the opposite direction toward Li\u00e9bana.<\/p>\n\n

For pilgrims, it is necessary to know that the terrain of this route forces you to plan shorter days in terms of mileage but with a very severe cumulative elevation gain. On foot, the route is usually completed in 7 to 9 days, whereas for cyclists, it is concentrated into 3 or 4 stages. <\/p>\n\n
